After 40 years freelancing and 28 years teaching Film Production, Lighting, and Cinematography, one thing is clear: stories matter. I’ve spent much of my life helping filmmakers bring their visions to life, and I’ve seen firsthand how powerful a well-told story can be. Along the way, I’ve also learned that not everyone’s path to filmmaking looks the same, and that’s why we created Cinesight—to offer an alternative, personalized approach for those who might not have the traditional opportunities but still have a story worth telling.

There’s no question that film schools and diplomas have their place—they can open doors and lead to great opportunities. But not everyone can take that route, and that’s okay. Life is complex—maybe you don’t have the time to commit to full-time school, or maybe moving across the country to chase a degree isn’t an option. Perhaps you’re older, juggling a career, or managing a family, and you just need a different way to bring your ideas to the screen. We get it. We’re here for the filmmakers who might not fit the traditional mold but have the talent, vision, and drive to create something meaningful.
